About

Hi! My name is Noah Tesfaye and I’m a rising second-year at the University of Chicago, based in Silicon Valley. I’m a proud is a first generation Ethiopian-Eritrean American citizen and journalist who focuses on writing about politics, race, and culture.

Currently, I’m a columnist at the Chicago Maroon. I also write a weekly blog reflecting on politics, music, anc college life.

Previously, I was the Los Altos High School Talon Newspapers’ Web Managing Editor and Editorial Intern at the Los Altos Town Crier, covering local and national politics, as well as student life. I also was a contributing writer at the UChicago Institute of Politics’ The Gate Political Journal

When I’m not writing, I experiment with different types of coffee, visiting new shops, and talking politics with my friends. Here, you’ll find a few of the articles I’m most proud of working on  over the past three years and some of the video projects I’ve worked on, either for journalism or for fun. Thank you!
